When I was ten years old, I asked Sinterklaas for a guitar. And I got it. In the attic, I learned the basic chords and jammed with an old radio as an amplifier. Later, I played at campfire parties, which were very trendy at the time, songs by Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and Cat Stevens.I was seventeen when I was invited to Lieve Hemel to sing my songs around the fireplace, and I met members of De Veulpoepers. I was quickly added to the then-acoustic formation. In the later formed collective, I co-founded printing company OKZ and played in the band. To this day, I still regularly take part in part 3 of De Veulpoepers.I have continued to make music throughout my life with bands such as: The Buddies, Die Andere Band, De Hartelijke Groeten, De Beerse Band, De Coupe and RiBoBiBa.

About twelve years ago, I was invited to provide a musical piece during an art event. Rinus (from the RiBoBiBa) had introduced me to the works of Leonard Cohen. A genuine Leonard Cohen Tribute was set up. It was supposed to be a one-time performance. This turned out to be a misjudgment. A close musical family has emerged from this. We still travel with this Tribute to various theaters throughout the country. And by the way, we still do it with a lot, yes, a lot of joy.
